The “Page Menu” and the “Category Menu” are sort of mirrors of each other. I am using them also as “Decoration Bars” on the top and bottom of the Header Image(s), respectfully. So as we adapt the Page Menu for that purpose, we need to keep in mind that we will be doing the same thing, almost, for the Category Menu also. The Menu Bar will be above our Header Image and have links to our pages from left to right. The Category Bar will be below our Header Image and have links to our categories from right to left.
Now my wife will tell you that I do not visit bars! I guess I would rather write computer programs that go get drunk. However, the Logo Bar is not a place to drink like a Go-go Bar! So let’s jump right in and discover how we can still improve how ours looks!
Starting at the Top! The Logo Bar! This works in both the TuKod Theme and Atahualpa. The first thing we are going to want to change is the color of our site name! Continue reading
People love to frame things. When your son or daughter graduates from preschool or kindergarten what do we do with the diploma? We frame it. You may not notice it but most pages in a book have a frame around it. Maybe we call it a border, or margin, but nonetheless, it still frames the words on the page. To do this we will make a few more adjustments in our ToKod (Atahualpa) Theme. Continue reading
I am using the TuKod Theme. TuKod is a fork from the Atahualpa theme, so this may or may not work in Atahualpa (it works perfectly in TuKod!). I am going to adjust the Header Layout. I am starting with the default so this should be rather straight forward. First I open the TuKod / Atahualpa Theme Options. Find the “Header Area” section and click on “Style & edit HEADER AREA”
I am going to be making just one adjustments here: The “Configure Header Area”, which is at the top of the page. Continue reading
I am using the TuKod Theme. The TuKod Theme is a fork from the Atahualpa theme, so most things I write will also work in Atahualpa (and they work perfectly in TuKod!). However, uploading Header Images, Favicons and Logos are very easy in Tukod. That is what this post is all about.
I am going to adjust the Header Logo. I am starting with the default, so this should be rather straight forward. First I open the TuKod Theme Options. Find the “Header Area” section and click on “Style & edit HEADER AREA”
I am going to be making just one adjustments here: The “Show Logo Image?” Two Boxes below the top!
Note: Atahualpa requires you upload Logos via FTP!
